The UPS Sustainability Team is responsible for developing the strategy of and executing initiatives to enable the decarbonization of UPS’ global operations. The team works cross-functionally to design and execute greenhouse gas reduction solutions across all business units and modes of transportation, as well as to design customer-facing green logistic products. We leverage the power of data to manage and measure the progress of our initiatives, meet voluntary and regulatory disclosures, and enable analysis to make sound, financially prudent recommendations. As a key member of the team, you will bring UPS into a brighter, greener future. This position may manage others.

Key Roles andResponsibilitiesinclude:

  • Assist with creating standardized policies and procedures for sustainability data capture and reporting to support consistency of information across the organization

  • Ensure audit-readiness of sustainability data, including sufficient documentation of accuracy and completeness, collaborate with internal and external auditors during assurance process

  • Monitor emerging sustainability regulations (CSDDD, SEC, ISSB, etc.)to determine impact to UPS

  • Maintain a working knowledge of and research findings regarding regulatory changes, trends, measurement and technical issues relevant to sustainability

  • Support the development of UPS’ decarbonization strategies.

  • Develop the roadmaps and business cases for and lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce UPS’ greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Conduct research and develop analyses to uncover opportunities, mitigate risk, and guide our strategy and decision making.

Preferred Skills, Experience and Educational Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple, large multiple data sets to develop insights.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build complex models, understand financial statements, develop business cases, and develop other decision support tools.

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience usinganalytical software tools such as Power BI.

  • Self-starter with a strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and lead project teams.

  • Effective communicator (written and verbal).

  • Team player who can build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Understanding of sustainability disclosures and reporting environment globally

  • Ability to distinguish between “big picture” concepts and detailed facts.,

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) – Sustainability, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Analytics, Finance

  • Master’s degree in relevant discipline preferred.
