Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with strategically important large customers. Assigned to one or more strategic accounts, the Account Manager is responsible for managing the full relationship between those accounts and JP Hart Lumber.
The Account Manager role will engage in a variety of tasks including project management, coordination, strategic planning, relationship management, and leadership and innovative development of opportunities. The tasks will include logistics, sales support, maintenance of business relationships, optimization of customer processes, and account planning.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures that our customers’ needs and expectations are being met.
• Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel within assigned customer accounts.
• Act as liaison between customer and JP Hart Lumber, communicating customer needs and resolving issues
• Manages the daily activity of the account(s) as well as any assigned support staff. Specific responsibilities to include:
? Product bid (price) management
? Delivery scheduling
? Accounts Receivables
? Customers’ software
• Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests
• Resolving complaints and keeping track of all processes that pertain to the client’s desires
• Collecting and analyzing data concerning customer behavior to understand changing needs
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
• Reports to regional management.
• Enlists the support of sales management, support services, and other sales and management resources as needed.
• Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management.
• Works closely with Customer Service Representatives and/or Inside Sales Staff to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolutions.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong customer facing skills (executive presence, writing skills, phone skills); demonstrates a highly professional demeanor
• Takes ownership of customer issues and drives resolution
• Ability to communicate and comprehend positions and interests, manage conflict, develop alternatives, and compromise appropriately
• Ability to set and communicate expectations; skill in mediating and resolving problems
• Strong listening skills
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Bi-lingual is a plus
• Lumber and Building Material knowledge is a plus
