Summary
Nautilus International Holding Corporation’s (NIHC) Finance & Accounting team is responsible for reporting accurate financial reporting, as well as driving strategic and financial decision-making processes across the Company, and its subsidiaries. We partner with Senior Management and business unit teams to analyze and drive long-term business performance.
As a member of NIHC’s Finance & Accounting team, which drives the monthly and quarterly financial reporting, the Senior Staff Accountant will play an integral role to ensure that reporting to the Company’s stakeholders is complete and accurate. This role will report to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting and certain treasury functions, as well as performing accounting and financial analysis functions, as required. Furthermore, this role will help drive accurate and complete federal, state and local tax filings & compliance.

- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and underlying analysis to support the month-end close process.
- Prepare operational accounting reconciliations and analysis for various business needs.
- Prepare various deliverables to support the preparation of financial statements and/or requests for information from all business functions as well as external auditors.
- Assist in analyzing and providing flux analyses in service to financial statement reviews.
- Assist and/or manage various tax filings (including but not limited to property tax, sales/use tax, etc.) and related compliance.
- Report, document, and maintain documentation around all accounting cycles, and propose/implement best practices to add further value to the department and company.
- Provides guidance and support to other accounting staff team member.
- Knowledgeable in accounting systems & processes to understand and develop best practices within accounting system to create efficiencies and drive toward a more efficient and accurate financial close.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent degree.
- 7+ years of progressive responsibility in public & private Accounting.
- CPA License and/or CPA candidate.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, general accounting processes and internal controls.
- Experience with Dynamics GP, Netsuite and/or other cloud-based accounting system/ERP.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Ability to design graphs, forms, spreadsheets, interprets formulas and produce advance application macros.
