Our client specializes in brokering transportation services for refrigerated goods, facilitating the movement of produce from the west coast's growing regions to markets across the country. Our client is very well known and respected in the logistics space and is expanding their team.
As a Freight Account Manager, you will be a key liaison between our clients and freight carriers, ensuring smooth logistics operations. This role is a blend of relationship management, freight optimization, and contract negotiation. The position offers a competitive salary plus commission structure.
JOB:
The Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients by acting as the main contact for any questions and concerns. Other responsibilities include analyzing and optimizing freight operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, negotiating freight rates, contracts, and terms with carriers for favorable agreements, proactively identifying and addressing issues related to shipments and transit times, developing and analyzing KPIs to measure and improve freight operations, prepare and present regular performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders, and collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments for seamless communication. This is an IN OFFICE Role Monday to Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
- 2 years minimum of third-party logistics carrier sales experience
- 1 year minimum of customer relationship management experience
- Proven success in negotiating freight contracts and building client relationships
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in logistics management software
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in emotional intelligence skills
- Must be Arizona based, IN OFFICE role Monday to Friday
