Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager to support North American accounts.   As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers in the life sciences and other industries. You will be responsible for managing key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth. Responsibilities:
  • Account Management:
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries, providing product information, and offering exceptional customer service.
    • Understand customers’ specific needs, requirements, and challenges to provide tailored solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Regularly communicate with customers to assess their satisfaction levels, identify areas for improvement, and proactively address any issues or concerns.
    • Proactively works with customers to support having payments on time.
    • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of client orders, projects, and deliverables.
  • Account Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop account plans and strategies in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
    • Monitor account performance, analyze sales data, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
    • Forecast and manage account budgets, revenue projections, and sales pipelines.
    • Collaborate with internal teams on product development, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns based on customer feedback and market insights.
    • Prepare and perform quarterly business reviews with key accounts.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts, upselling additional products or services, and expanding the company's presence.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitors' activities to identify potential new customers and market opportunities.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential prospects, develop leads, and generate new business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with the commercial team to develop sales strategies, create proposals, and negotiate contracts with new customers.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, marketing, life sciences) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or in a similar customer-facing role within the life sciences, filtration, or medical industries.
  • Deep understanding of the life sciences industry and its unique challenges, particularly in relation to technical applications.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with clients.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically and analytically.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in SalesForce and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel 25+% as needed.
