This is a hybrid position with in-office flexibility 2-3 days a week in our NYC office.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management Training:
- Learn how to build and maintain strong relationships with clients alongside seasoned account executives; understanding clients' insurance needs, and providing timely and accurate assistance with policy inquiries, coverage changes, claims processing, and billing inquiries to ensure their satisfaction and retention.
Training and Development:
- Participate in our comprehensive Account Manager training program
- Stay updated on insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory changes to enhance knowledge and skills.
Administrative Support:
- Handle day-to-day tasks such as distributing mail, entering claims, billing non-pays, reconciling bills, and processing payments.
- Set up Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for clients, ensuring seamless payment processing.
- Key in quotes with various insurance carriers.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and willingness to learn insurance-specific software.
- Eagerness to obtain a Property and Casualty (P&C) license, with support provided by the company.
Education and/or Experience:
- Rising senior of a four-year university preferred
- Interested in pursuing a career in insurance
The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
