Summary
Encompass is seeking an experienced and energized Account Executive to identify opportunities to extend Encompass business relationships with new and existing clients. The Account Executive will be part of the Sales team focusing on our Distribution product, and will report to the VP of Sales. The Account Executive will drive interest in new products by building relationships with current and prospective customers, collaborating with the Marketing team on campaigns and communications, and be responsible for representing Encompass both at customer locations and at industry events.
The Account Executive will accurately and completely represent product capabilities to customers and take customers through Demo, Discovery, and Contract Close, collaborating closely with the Onboarding team to hand off the project for execution. The Account Executive will be responsible for tracking activities, opportunities, and key information in the company CRM system.
Travel is expected for this position in terms of attending select industry trade shows and conferences, as well as relevant onsite customer demos and implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Management: Proactively respond to inbound leads and requests from customers
- Product Feedback: Participate in product feedback sessions with Product Managers providing input from the sales cycle and customer feedback
- Onboarding Handoff: Collaborate with the onboarding team to ensure customer expectations about the Product and the Project are accurately set and that the Onboarding team is aware of all relevant requirements and those requirements are documented
- Marketing: Collaborate with the Marketing team to create effective campaigns and materials for target Products; this may include sales sheets, email campaigns, blog posts, trade show booths, webinars, etc. Deliver webinars and presentations upon request
- Travel: Represent Encompass products at select trade shows and customer events, Connect via conferences and customer demos as needed. Participate in selected onboarding activities as part of cross training and process development
- Customer Relationship Management: Follow up with Customer Stakeholders for each deal to confirm that expectations were met and the project was successfully completed
Preferred Qualifications
- A proven track record of quota-carrying sales success in Enterprise Resource Planning, Warehousing/Logistics Management or the BevAlc industry, preferably in a SaaS product, is highly desired
- Successfully demonstrated success selling to multiple stakeholders in a long-cycle, enterprise-type sales process
- Possesses a resilient, competitive spirit with a drive for results
- Ability to articulate and deliver the value of our products in a compelling, consultative manner
- Strong executive presence; ability to effectively interact with all levels of our customer community, including prospects
- Provides a customer-first approach throughout the full sales cycle
- Effective account management and execution of sales strategies & initiatives
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and active listening
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable navigating ambiguous situations
- A collaborative team player with a desire to work cross functionally
- Detail oriented with strong organizational, project & time management skills
- Experience with HubSpot, or other CRM systems is desired
- Experience with Challenger, or similar sales methodologies is preferred
Education and Experience
- 8+ years of proven sales experience; with at least 5 years of Enterprise level responsibility or similar industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Additional Details
This role will receive a competitive salary + commission + benefits. The salary for US-based employees located in the below markets may expect offers in the ranges for this role.
US annual base: $110,000 to $124,000 annually
A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation, including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above based on these considerations.
Location: We are a hybrid organization and are open to remote work. Our corporate office is located in Fort Collins, CO.
A strong preference will be given to candidates who are geographically based in the mid-Atlantic or northeastern United States.
