The Office of Academic Advising & Retention Services invites applications for the role of Academic Advisor.
The Academic Advisor works within the Academic Advising and Retention Center to provide first-year academic advising to Klamath Falls campus students to ensure student success. The Academic Advisor will work with Klamath Falls faculty and staff providing operational responsibilities focused on academic advising and retention and ensuring students have educational guidance and assistance throughout their first-year at Oregon Tech.
Departmental Information:
The Office of Academic Advising and Retention serves all Oregon Tech students in different capacities as they progress through their degree at Oregon Tech. First-year students (Freshman) and Transfers under 36 credits have an assigned secondary Academic Advisor to help them navigate their first year. Returning students (Sophomores and above) and Transfers with over 36 credits are assigned a secondary Academic Advisor within their college (ETM or HAS) to provide academic advising and guidance through graduation.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences through various mediums.
- Positive customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with students in a higher education environment.
- Experience with Microsoft suite including Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel.
