Form of workPosition Summary BGI is seeking Fighter Pilot Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to directly support the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center (JITTC) Nellis. The individual will support High End Advance Training, Tactics and Tests (HEAT3), in the synthetic environment. Instructor Pilot level, mission commander with an in-depth understanding of modern airpower.
Applicants need to possess an in-depth comprehension of near-peer threat airpower to lead mission planning, briefing, execution, and debriefing of fundamental fighter pilot tasks through HEAT3 missions as both a blue and red virtual pilot. Personnel will work hand-in-hand with engineers and end-users to determine the most effective and efficient training, tactics development, and testing solutions. This position can be full-time or part-time.
Positions are available immediately. Job Responsibilities Will support JITTC-N operations as a Fighter Pilot SME (Subject Matter Expert) with the following duties; Support operations as a console operator for the F-15, F-16, F-22, and F-35 Fighter In A Box (FIAB) and the Virtual Adversary Threat (VATS) FIABs. Provide USAF training standards as an Instructor Pilot in one of the following MDS (Mission Design Series) F-15, F-16, F-22, and F-35.
Provide professional adversary support operating VATS, Digital Integrated Air Defense Systems (DIADS), virtual Surface-to-Air threats, and future threat systems utilized in Joint Synthetic Environment (JSE) within JITTC-N. Support scenario development for USAF Weapons School training scenarios and USAF Operational Test and Tactics development. Develop and execute scenarios consistent with COCOM priorities to achieve Combat Air Force (CAF) HEAT3.
Travel one to two weeks a year in support of JITTC-N trainingRequired Qualifications US citizen Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance Bachelor's degree. STEM degrees desired Pilot with over 500 hours Tactical background in fighter aircraft (F-15, F-16, F/A-18, F-22, or F-35) Demonstrate adaptability to virtual training during the interview process. Excellent communication skills (written & oral) with the ability to coordinate with team members, customers, and senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications Air to Air Instructor Pilot experience (F-15C/E, F-16, F/A-18, F-22, or F-35) Graduate of USAF Weapons School, USN Top Gun or USMC Tactics Instructor USAF Operational test pilot.
