Position Overview
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Multimedia Production Specialist in the Department of Communications. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, performs professional level video production duties utilizing video and audio production techniques, motion graphics, script writing, and studio production, including live floor direction to produce digital and video products for the City of Henderson; and performs related duties as assigned.

Salary placement for non-represented positions is based on a comprehensive compensation review and takes into consideration the candidate's qualifications as well as internal equity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Television and Film Communication, Digital Filmmaking and Video Production, Graphic or Commercial Arts, or a closely related field
  • Five (5) years of experience in video production, audio and video equipment, video editing, and working with video redaction software
  • Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
  • Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
  • Remote Pilot Certification to operate a Drone / Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) in compliance with Part 107 Rules through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • For this recruitment only, we will be accepting candidates who do not possess their Remote Pilot Certification to operate a Drone / Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) in compliance with Part 107 Rules through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with the requirement it must be obtained within the first six months of employment as a condition of continued employment.

    • Thirteenth calendar year of service and beyond - 23.75 hours per month

BEREAVEMENT LEAVE
  • Four (4) workdays of leave, with pay, per occurrence

HOLIDAYS
  • 13 paid holidays per year
  • Two (2) floating holidays per year (one in first year if hired on or after July 1st)
  • The ability to bank holidays, up to 152 hours, that fall on an employee's regularly scheduled day off

WORK WEEK
  • Four-day, 9.5-hour workday, 38-hour work week
  • Four-day, 10-hour workday, 40-hour work week for Police PERS positions
