Reporting to the Plant Quality Manager, at our Darien, WI facility, you will provide supervision, technical assistance and scheduling for the 3rd Shift Quality assurance technicians and associates. You will be involved in all aspects of quality and safety including audits, HACCP program evaluation, GMP training, sanitation evaluation, pest control, purchasing supplies, inspecting returned and incoming products, implementing procedures and evaluating new equipment installation or repair.
You will:
- Coordinate quality assurance activities (e.g., audits, training, and purchasing)
- Provide technical training to all QA personnel
- Ensure the HACCP plan's CCPs adhering to procedure
- Conduct GMP and sanitation audits
- Partner with operations personnel on quality and safety issues
- Place product on hold, release or disposition while adhering to Company procedure
- Coordinate resolution of customer complaints
- Ensure SPC Management practices are followed
You Have:
- You have a BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or other related degree required. Experience in lieu of education requirements.
- 3-5 years related experience in the food industry
- Experience with Food Safety Guidelines/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safe practices
- Experience with FDA and USDA
