Job Duties/Essential Functions –
· Support the Quality and Operations teams with quality best practices.
- Complete startup / last article inspections
- Audit / Inspect and report on in-process and manufactured products. (Finished Goods, Components and Supplied items).
- Make decisions on the acceptability/non-acceptability of manufactured/packaged products
- Use defect categories critical / major / minor to make sound business decisions
- Contain all non-conforming product(s) to the last known “acceptable inspection point”.
- Communicate non-conformance(s) and /or trending conditions to support teams.
- Act as the “Voice of Quality” and facilitate solutions in “real time” with the cross functional team.
- Record inspection and audit results on internal documentation.
- Perform inspection activities reporting on process and product performance.
- Perform inspections of NP and FG product lots to defined AQL and sampling methods.
- Provide follow up and verification activities in support of corrective actions and/or process adjustments.
- Coach, train, and mentor the fundamentals of Quality to coworkers as needed.
Minimum Requirements –
- Physically able to walk, bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and lift items
- Physically able to stand on feet for duration of shift
- Need to have workplace flexibility and adapt to change regarding how and when work gets done.
- Able to work in a manufacturing or quality control environment
- Must be self-motivated and be able to prioritize issues as they occur
- Must have accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.
- Basic computer and math skills, including fractions and decimals required. Microsoft Office products – Excel and Word
- Able to work in SAP database and make daily entries.
- Able to work well with others and be a team member
- Ability to use measurement equipment: micrometers and calipers
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others both verbally and in writing
- Must follow all safety procedures
- Must wear/ use all required PPE, to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, proper footwear (as outlined in the employee handbook), etc.
- Overtime coverage as required and/or needed
