We are searching for a Sleep Technology Specialist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide technical support in the patient care area in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0 to 18 years) and adults, as necessary.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides quality patient-centered care, scoring and reporting of sleep services. Night Shift Responsibilities.
- Demonstrates a mastery of technical and procedural requirements to consistently produce high quality neurodiagnostic sleep studies; can adapt all procedures to clinical circumstances; monitors and/or eliminates causes of artifact; and consistently and properly labels recordings.
- Functions independently and can apply basic, intermediate, and advanced waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, and current HIPPA practices.
- Conducts efficient and accurate scoring, and documenting of sleep studies. Day Shift Responsibilities. Conducts efficient and accurate scoring, and reporting of sleep studies and ensures quality assurance.

Neurodiagnostic sleep studies, MSLT's and other sleep services; can adapt all procedures to clinical circumstances, monitors and/or eliminates causes of artifact; and consistently and properly labels recordings.
- Functions independently and can apply basic, intermediate, and advanced waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPPA practices
- Communicates effectively with peers and interdisciplinary team.
- Maintains Environment of Care. Troubleshoots equipment and reports all equipment repairs as soon as the need is detected to manager, Biomedical Engineering, vendor, or other appropriate and authorized individuals.
- Performs other essential job duties. Seeks exposure to educational opportunities to enhance professional growth and technical knowledge related to sleep related disease and neurodiagnostic practice. Demonstrates customer service skills.
Skills & Requirements
- Required High school diploma or GED required. Preferred graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sleep program
- Licenses and Certifications:
- BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association
- RPSGT - Reg Polysomnographic Technology by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
- 4 years' experience in pediatric sleep medicine, including one 1-year experience in formal teaching OR as a formal TCH preceptor
At least ONE of the following is also required:
- CCSH - Cert Clinical Sleep Health by the Board of Clinical Sleep Health
- REEGT - Reg Electroencephalogram Tech by the Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologists
- RST - Registered Sleep Technologist by the American Board of Sleep Medicine
- RRT CERT - Cert-Reg Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
