Job Summary:
Next Phase Solutions and Services, Inc. seeks a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a Systems Analyst. As a critical member of our organization, you will work closely with leadership to analyze complex business processes, identify areas for improvement, and make strategic recommendations for enhancing organizational performance within a Federal setting. Candidates must be "clearable" to a Secret level; an active Secret clearance is not required prior to hire.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports our federal client with various management and organizational tasks that involve the use of multiple information technology systems and tools
- Manages documents and records by ensuring all necessary materials are up-to-date, correctly managed, and stored in the approved records management system(s)
- Coordinates, supports, and participates in program and system meetings and reviews, taking thorough meeting notes
- Assists in completing administrative reporting, daily statistics, logs, and task narratives
- Prepares presentation slides for project team meetings
- Creates and interprets flowcharts and schedules
- Creates, collects, and maintains data and provides reports and recommendations to optimize business performance metrics
- Assists in writing processes and procedures, step-by-step action plans, meeting minutes, and other documents
- Familiarity with business process development
Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including development of technical "standard operating procedures"
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to constructively collaborate with various individuals with a variety of personalities
- Strong hands-on skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Hands-on experience with Sharepoint business process development and management of artifact
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple tasks and deadlines
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management or Information Systems degree (preferred)
- Three (3) years of experience in a technical business setting, one year of which MUST involve supporting federal customers
- Familiarity with management practices for a medium-sized organization, with business processes re-engineering preferred
General Skills and Abilities:
- Must be a team member with organization skills, including multitasking and time management, accustomed to working with client (Federal) staff
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload based on the needs of the client
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent technical writing skills and proven experience in systems with complex requirements
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to team with others to meet project objectives
- Understanding of the system development lifecycle as implemented with Agile; SAFe knowledge a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Strong speaking skills, including the ability to articulate thoughts in a clear manner and excellent word enunciation skills, are required
- Must be able to navigate in an office setting unassisted
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
Important Information about this job:
- U.S. citizen with a residence in the U.S. for seven (7) years.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government agency badge and obtain a Secret level federal clearance.
