Job description

It starts with our culture ...
Common sense has never been common.
If it were, the world would be a different place. Things would run smoothly and on time. People would do what they say and say what they do. Everything would be fair, without all the small talk. And banks would only sell you what you need. When a banker looked at a client, they wouldn’t just see a number, they’d see a dad or a mom or a graduate or a business owner. Our Bankers understand the complexities of people’s lives and offer simple solutions.
That's the basics of Relationships. Fairness. Simplicity®
When you choose our Company, you have an opportunity to make an impact beyond the walls of our buildings.
We have a long-standing commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Through lending, investing, grants, and volunteerism, NBH Bank promotes the growth, revitalization and sustainability of the communities we serve. We believe that these are important elements in building and sustaining a successful organization and a positive, results-driven culture. We strive for all of our associates to feel welcome and empowered at work.
This type of position is ideal for someone looking to build a career in finance, banking, and technology. We will provide you training and coaching throughout your onboarding experience, as well as on the job. As you demonstrate success, there will be opportunities for advancement within our organization.
The duties of a Test Managerrequire a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy. Drive, determination and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results that meet these established criteria are necessary for successful job performance. The job environment is structured and job expectations are clear. While the pace of the work is faster than average, quality is never compromised. The focus of communication and organizational relationships is based on technical expertise. The work requires specialized technical problem solving and ingenuity while working within approved organizational systems and technology, and the demonstration of the values of integrity, quality and caution. New ideas and concepts are also important but will be quickly, yet carefully analyzed and tested before communication and adoption. If the job involves managing others, there is a need for someone who can exercise the necessary authority to assure policies and procedures are followed and time frames are met. At the same time, it will be necessary to give subordinates structured opportunity to develop their own expertise and capability for quality work to assure effective delegation and shared responsibility for work output. It is expected that coaching and training support for achieving effective delegation will be required. The position encompasses a defined span of control and opportunity for someone who engenders trust, demonstrates a sense of urgency and assures consistent achievement of quality standards. The work requires making decisions that support company guidelines authoritatively and quickly.
As a Test Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing a testing approach that encompasses manual testing methodology. You will oversee the creation and implementation of comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases. You will conduct regular team meetings to review project status, identify challenges, and provide guidance.
Your role will involve active participation in the recruitment, training, and professional development of QA Analysts. You will manage the allocation of resources across multiple projects to optimize efficiency. You will closely monitor project timelines, ensuring that testing milestones align with overall development goals.
Promoting and facilitating agile scrum practices within the testing team will be another key aspect of your responsibilities. You will engage with project stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate progress, and address concerns. You will coordinate with scrum masters and squad leads to seamlessly integrate testing into the overall development process. You will spearhead the knowledge transfer process from third-party vendors to internal resources, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining a high level of expertise within the team.
Additionally, as a Test Manager, you will promote collaboration to ensure smooth coordination among various managerial functions, fostering an environment conducive to seamless operations. Your role will require a commitment to transparency, facilitating open communication within the team and with stakeholders, thereby nurturing trust and accountability.
