Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering team to provide System Level Test equipment engineering expertise in supporting overall equipment performance for the lab
- Lead engineering team to provide in-depth technical assistance and resolution when problems are encountered before, during, and after, new product/equipment Bring-up.
- Collaborate with developers to identify, define, and solve hardware developmental problems.
- Collaborate and liaise with product engineer, hardware developer in engineering evaluation plan, execution and result analysis.
- Provide statistical trend analysis of down hardware and initiate improvements Initiate solutions to optimize overall equipment effectiveness and reduce maintenance cost
- Responsible to establish predictive/preventive maintenance and calibration process for SLT equipment
- Develop and establish equipment maintenance training program Organize and plan training for maintenance staff Lead and drive projects on best manufacturing practices for Lab operation which include 5S , LEAN, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance, and ISO9001 process compliance. Develops comprehensive and detailed team roadmap with staff involvement and ownership which supports meeting or exceeding business goals. Develops a high-performance technical staff through education, training, coaching, mentoring and teamwork.
- Responsible to make sure that each staff member has a timely and concise performance management plan which identifies specific accountabilities, training needs and development plans
- Communicates with all lab personnel so that all goals, expectations and performance as compared to plan are well understood.
- Supervise manufacturing operation include new product bring up operation.
- As a member of the Engineering Operations shift team, the employee is directly responsible for managing a team of 4 to 10 manufacturing specialists that maintain the flow of production, and provide daily technical, strategic, and tactical direction for the area/shift Team.
- Organize and manage daily activity of the area(s) by setting priorities for personnel, production schedules, equipment activities, and product flow.
- Responsible for maintaining best manufacturing practices and regulatory includes test floor 5S improvement, LEAN implementation, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance, Emergency Response Team member (as assigned) and ISO9001 compliance.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with demonstrated success in production control, capacity planning, lean manufacturing, six sigma, or project management.
- Experience working with engineering labs and/or high volume manufacturing test facilities
- Prefer that candidate has familiarity with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or System Level Test equipment
- Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and provide solutions to closure.
- Familiar with electro-mechanical equipment
- Familiar with Active Thermal Control (ATC) systems theory and practical application
- Must have knowledge of human resource management principles and procedures (preferred).
- Strong communication skills at both technical and executive levels, including the ability to create and discuss technical documentation and presentations
Academic Credentials:
- Position requires a technology related Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or related Engineering field is a plus.
- Position requires experience in test and/or product engineering
