2Nd Shift Welder/Fitter

Reportsto: Production Supervisor
Cooperateswith: Welding, Fabrication, Shipping
PrimaryResponsibility: Performing MIG, TIG, or Flux Core welding, layout, tacking, fabrication, and building
functions in the manufacture of various products in accordance with
product specifications.
Shift:

• 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am with 30 min lunch
  
  • 2nd Shift has $2.00 Shift Differential

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding based on product needs, welding round and rectangular elements.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the necessary task.
• Knowledge of QC and product specifications.
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and willingness to use PPEs provided.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• Certification in welding from a recognized technical institute or trade school is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to use welding equipment and related tools effectively and safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Welding certification a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.
