As a Junior Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting processes and operations. This position will be expected to assist with maintaining the company's G/L, receivables, and payables.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- The position will be responsible for evaluating, improving, and streamlining Trenton Systems accounting management systems and processes.
- Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
- Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
- Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
- Review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting and tax regulations.
- Prepare annual 1099 and W2 statements.
- Coordinate annual CPA review.
- Primary contact for all audit and tax activities with external accounting team.
- Develop tools to assist department heads in the preparation of annual budgets.

Requirements:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field.
- 4+ years in an equivalent accounting role.
- Excellent understanding of ERP systems (Preferably Global Shop Solutions).
- Have prior experience in manufacturing or any field where cost analysis plays a critical role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Desired
- Experience with the military or computer hardware.
- Familiarity with R&D accounting practices and accounting audits.
- Familiarity with cost accounting principles.
