On-Site Lead Position
2nd Shift Team Lead:
Kamps is a full service pallet company meeting the needs of industries coast to coast. Kamps manufactures new pallets, reconditioned pallets, and recycles unrepairable pallets into mulch and bark. Summary: The Lead of the on-site operation is responsible for assisting Supervisors and Managers with achieving operational goals and standards by leading other employees in various job functions including Sort, Repair and Forklift Operations. The Lead position also assists with ensuring operations meets the predetermined production goals and quality standards in accordance with the customer standards. This shall include ensuring that the operation meets or exceeds all customer requirements regarding performance, quality, safety, and employee performance.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, production environment
- Unload inbound shipments and move to appropriate locations.
- Efficiently stack pallets in designated areas and on trailers.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate, secure and meet quality standards.
- Meet productions goals.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Wear appropriate safety gear and follow all safety instructions.
- Ability to operate in a clean and organized manner.
- Physical ability to pick-up, manipulate, and move pallets.
- Ensure that employees are working in a safe manner and are complying with attendance. and all work policies of the Company.
- Ensure that employees are meeting production goals and quality standards and are working in a manner consistent with the requirements of their position.
- Reports to Supervisors and On-Site Manager all HR related issues including but not limited to employees that are not meeting production, quality, or safety requirements, and attendance issues.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports of all production activity.
- Report equipment maintenance issues to the appropriate parties.
Requirements:
- Strong communication, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate others.
- Bilingual a must.
- Ability to frequently lift 45-75 lbs.
- Flexibility to work multiple shifts and extended hours as required to service customer needs and expectations.
- Experience with Computers, including Excel, Outlook, and cloud based accounting software.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Forklift experience is a must.
- Ability to work Sunday – Friday 4PM - 2:30AM
Work Environment:
- Loud noise, variable temperature and works around and with hazardous machinery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
