Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics is a rapidly expanding initiative with the objective of revolutionizing the retail landscape through robotics. Our development and implementation of the cutting-edge Alphabot® technology are currently underway, with deployment in stores across North America.
We are seeking to hire an intern for the summer of 2024 to provide support as a documentation drafter within the Configuration Control team supporting Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality. Maintains accurate revision and in process records. Performs a variety of specialized administrative and documentation control support tasks. You will work with our talented engineers, contributing to projects and learning along the way.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:
- Create/edit drawings to be used in production
- Perform drawing checks and verification
- Support the engineering teams creating AML specification data sheets.
- Assist PDM CAD Lead with CREO and Windchill administration.
- Correspond with others and have the flexibility to change tasks in midstream.
- Prepare changes in drawings following established techniques/procedures.
- Support cross-functional teams in the revision, and release process.
- Assign company part numbers as needed.
- Assist in the creation of Bills of Materials as needed.
- Support the release and distribution of all change control items.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical and other related duties as assigned
- Ensure high levels of communication with team, support resources and management regarding issue identification and resolution.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- BOM Health studies on PCB's
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience in Drafting/Configuration Management
- Demonstrated entry-level proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, CREO, Windchill, Revit, etc.)
- Bill of materials (BOM) and change control management experience.
- Requires basic knowledge of office procedures and basic computer skills in Microsoft office.
- Ability to work under general direction.
- Experience using a PLM system.
- A four-year degree or a two-year degree augmented with courses and/or seminars in drafting, engineering change control, change requests is preferred.
