Position Summary: The Production Manager position requires a professional, organized individual with the ability to take ownership of new projects. This position will manage all Department employees and is responsible for the performance management of Production Team Leaders, Associates, Coordinators, and Operators.
Schedule: 2PM-11PM (1 hr lunch) M-F
Qualifications (include but are not limited to):
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in production operation, including supervisory role, process implementation and scheduling.
- Must have good analytical skills; good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a record of dependability and good attendance.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Adhere to company policies, practices and procedures.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Scheduling, supervising, and directing all activities of production; ensuring safety, quality, and on time delivery.
- Promote and ensure that all 5S activities are completed for the assigned area.
- Implement, measure, and perform all necessary training for all Production Associates and Team Leaders to foster their career development.
- Coordinate with outside vendors as well as management of any improvement projects.
- Understand, follow, and organize full-time and contract labor to meet the needs of the customer as dictated by Production Control Chart.
- Enforce all company policies fairly and consistently, while motivating others.
- Participate in meetings as directed by Plant Manager (Customer Status, Continuous Improvement, etc.).
- Routinely communicate Production activities to Management and to the plant team.
- Lead improvement projects.
- Control of production fixtures and production equipment.
- Work in coordination with the Production Control Department for both existing/new customers and production requirements.
- Work closely with all Plant Departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Help identify bottlenecks in the production process.
- Follow up with maintenance in the department.
- Work with Human Resources, when the need arises, to hire new associates.
- Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager or as position changes.
