Assembler- Mechanically inclined with some electrical experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bolts, clips, screws, cements or otherwise fastens parts and subassemblies together by hand, or using hand or portable tools.
- Uses equipment such as arbor press, drill press, riveting machine, or tube flarer. Frequently files, saws, deburrs and drills parts using hand or power tools. Aligns parts with jigs, fixtures or templates.
- Makes final electrical checks, hydrostatic tests, assembly checks and fills out necessary paperwork and test sheets.
- Loads equipment on skids and moves to shipping department for packing and crating. Crates small product lines.
- All other duties as assigned
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Must have good basic math skills.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools and assembly functions.
- Able to understand blueprints and use basic measuring instruments.
- Able to read wiring schematics.
- Must be able to become a certified fork lift operator.
- General Education Diploma.
- Must be able to lift/carry 35 lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Work involves the ability to sit, bend, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, climb and walk for alternate periods of time
