Based in Appleton WI, we are a technology-driven equipment manufacturer in the film converting and alternative energy markets. The increased demand for CMD’s products and services has resulted in the need for an Electrical Assembler, responsible for applying electrical theory and usage of NEC and NFPA 79 in the assembly of machines with AC and DC circuits.
What You Will Be Doing
This position reads engineering drawings to assemble, rebuild, and repair electrical components of machinery for CMD products. Must have ability to assemble electrical components, sub-assemblies, and systems according to engineering drawings, ability to position and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other and mount assembled components and attach functional and cosmetic hardware such as cops, clamps, and knobs. The Mechanical Assembler diagnoses malfunctioning electrical components using test equipment, computer, and engineering drawings and assists R&D technicians and engineering in developing new equipment. Test runs machines to ensure proper operation of components such as photo-eyes, limit switches, and solenoid valves. Tests for proper sequencing of machine operations.
What Electrical Assembler’s Need for this Position
Must Have:
- Completion of Vocational Diploma in an electrical-related field, or equivalent experience or training.
- Computer literate and capable of reading engineering drawings.
- Must have tools required to perform daily routines.
- Ability to set up and operate a variety of hand and power tools (such as drill press, band saw, and stud welder).
- Must meet ISO quality standards.
