The Role
We are seeking a highly organized multi-tasker skilled in machine operation to set up, maintain, and operate our Digital Modular Cutting Table. Youll be responsible for the organization of the workflow to the production floor, so attention to detail in reading work orders/backorder reports are a must. You will organize work orders in a first-in-first-out fashion, locate the build of materials file in the Digital Cutting Table database, and complete work orders by placing all components into their designated basket after cutting. You will minimize waste by utilizing scrap when available, and complete preventative maintenance as required. Being a team player is essential so you should have the willingness to learn and continually improve. A successful Cutting Table Operator will ensure the speed and precision of production is running smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle per SOP
- Feed raw material fabrics into the machine (must be able to lift 40lbs)
- Inspect raw materials for defects, measure/log waste daily
- Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule
- Utilize reporting tools to complete manufacturing orders in order of which they were entered and induct them onto the production floor in order of FIFO
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Keep area clean and organized
Capabilities & Qualifications
- High level of self-motivation and ability to accomplish goals independently
- Very strong computer skills; ability to locate design files with 100% accuracy
- Articulate and well-spoken; strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Analytical skills
- Very strong attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
- Bi-Lingual preferred but not required
Schedule: This is a hourly position with an expected schedule of 40 hours per week in the office, Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM.
Pay: $ 20.00/hr
