The Trafficked Youth Senior Case Manager is a member of our Human Trafficking Youth Services team and provides supervision of the Trafficked Youth Advocates as well as provides advocacy and case management services to minor survivors of human trafficking and those that are at-risk of being trafficked within the Western New York Community. Services provided to youth include victim advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, service assessments, and coordination of support services and are provided at agency and community locations.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Facilitate and prepare support groups for youth survivors of human trafficking/at-risk youth.
  • Maintain a small caseload and provide in-person and telephone comprehensive client needs and risk assessments, safety planning, brief counseling, crisis intervention, and on-going case management services.
  • Enhance community partnerships through participating in co-location with identified youth partner organizations.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.
  • Participate in community and coalition meetings as needed;
  • Participate in bi-weekly case conferences with Youth TraffickingCase Managers.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to other youth-serving professionals who may interface with potential survivors of human trafficking as needed.
  • Complete data entry and reports as required.
  • Model and practice sensitivity, fair treatment, trauma-informed care, and acceptance of diversity in all interpersonal interaction.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Support survivor leadership opportunities.
  • Must maintain and submit required documents and comply with all aspects of the Vehicle Safety and Usage Policy.
  • Utilize Agency and IT systems according to agency protocol.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Competitive Pay Rate of $43,000- $47,000 based on experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW) or equivalent education and experience, with at least two (2) years paid professional experience preferred;
  • NYS driver's license and continued automobile insurance;
  • Bi-lingual skills (Spanish-English) preferred;
  • Professional human trafficking experience preferred;
  • Ability to work effectively in crisis situations;
  • Enjoy being part of and contributing to a team dedicated to human rights-based work
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the agency and our clients
  • Strong writing and data entry skills; and
  • Proficient at utilizing computer, cloud and web-based programs, and MS office
