Guest Period Youth Programs Coordinator
Job Description: The Youth Programs Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of each youth age group and their activities. They will work closely with the Program Manager to schedule activities staff, maintain inventory of activities supplies, and ensure youth program staff and participants are running smoothly and according to policy and standard operating procedures.
The Youth Programs Coordinator will report directly to the Program Manager, and supervise the activities staff working with each youth age group. While the Operations Coordinator is responsible for the "behind the scenes" jobs, this role encompasses the "on-the-scene" duties including but not limited to speaking with parents, facilitating activities, running staff meetings and debriefs, and being a point of contact for staff and guests.
Goals
? To offer professional service and hospitality to guests and strengthen the Kanuga experience.
? To manage the roster of activities for guests
? To recruit and train staff to provide activities such as arts and crafts, sports, recreation, hiking, wellness, team building, and family social events
? To maximize the effectiveness of seasonal staff
? To improve organizational processes, including guest sign ups and surveys, for all activities and programming
? To examine, identify, and improve guest satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and business results
? To "live" the Kanuga purpose statement through all of decisions, actions and communications. The Youth Programs Coordinator reports directly to the Programs Manager. In addition, the Youth Programs Coordinator works closely with other members of the hospitality team at Kanuga.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Daily check ins with each age group supervisor and staff
? Scheduling youth activities throughout each SGP week
? Creating sign-ups for each age group to check kids in and out of ? Coaching activities staff members working directly with children ? Being the point of contact for activities staff working with youth
? Maintain accurate records of program activities, including attendance, evaluations, and incident reports
? Collaborate with program management to implement enhancements and adjustments as needed
? Ensure compliance with Kanuga and Charlestowne policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, including those related to health, safety, and child protection.

Required:
? Strong communication skills
? Experience working with youth of all ages
? Adaptive and flexible to changes in schedule
? Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
? Ability to lift 50 pounds
? Valid driver's license
