OUTright Youth of Catawba Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose goal is to create a safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth and allies ages 12 to 21.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Program Director to join our organization. This position will oversee weekly youth groups for LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies ages 12-21. Hours may range from 15-25 per week, depending on your needs and availability—possible room for growth.

The youth group is currently onWednesdays from 6-8 pm. The Program Director will expand these hours to three weekdays of their choice. There is also potential for programming growth on weekdays from 3-6 pm, on weekends, and during daytime hours over the summer. Any hours needed to complete duties outside the youth group may be completed remotely.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate and facilitate all youth programming

- Schedule and secure volunteers, interns, food, and supplies

- Develop and implement program goals and objectives in alignment with organizational strategies

- Coordinate with the Executive Director to create an internship program with local colleges

- Oversee program activities and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines

- Evaluate program outcomes and make recommendations for improvement

- Monitor the status of the center and forward any needs to the Executive Director

- Assist Executive Director and Board of Directors with creation of new strategic plan

Requirements

- Master's degree in social work preferred

- Passion for tweens, teens, young adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
