RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for planning educational activities for a diverse group of children ages 5-12, which includes embedding our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, at the before- and after- school program throughout McLean County. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for building and maintaining open communication with child care families. Other duties will include opening and closing the building, ordering food and supplies, and cleaning the area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 30 semester hours of college credit, 12 hours of which must be related to school-age children, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields required.
- Experience working with school-age children in a program setting preferred.
- Must meet DCFS qualification for school-age worker.
- Proficient in English required.
- Good verbal and communications skills required.
- Proficient in at least one other language helpful.
- Must be available to start as soon as possible.
WORK HOURS
Part-time, 25-30 hours/week; Monday-Friday, from 6:15 am to 9 am and 2:45 pm to 5:30 pm; schedule varies upon applicant availability.
