La Bella of Edwardsville seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care and support. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients by having an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols, measuring wounds, documentation, etc.
Our Wound Care Nurse will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, technicians, and other nurses, to deliver high-quality care. Your knowledge and expertise will be vital in ensuring the success of each patient's treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for individuals with wounds, including assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring.

- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized Wound Care plans.
- Perform wound dressings, debridement, and other Wound Care procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on proper Wound Care techniques and prevention strategies.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Maintains accurate treatment schedule, timely records of treatments administered, progress notes, and evaluations for skilled residents
- Reviews all skin assessment of new residents.
- Conduct weekly meetings with Wound Committee
- Completes rounds with Wound Doctor every week and updates PCC
- Promote and respect the dignity and well-being of each resident and their family.
Required skills and qualifications:
- IL State Nursing License
- 1+ year of experience as a Wound Care Nurse
- Graduate from accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
- Two years of long-term care experience.
- Current nursing license for the state of IL.
- CPR certified
- Must enjoy working with the senior population
