Gentell is a national provider of advanced Wound Care products and programs to the long-term care industry. Garnering a more than 99% customer satisfaction rate, our Total Wound Care Solution is a comprehensive program that improves patient outcomes, controls costs to our partner facilities, and reduces nursing time. You would be joining a team dedicated to “making it better” every day. 

We are looking for a licensed nurse, physical therapist or occupational therapist who has a Wound Care certification to service facilities in a designated region. The ideal candidate will live within mid Illinois - Missouri region and travel to facility locations across multiple cities. Day travel and some overnights will be required including some early morning wound rounds based on facility schedules. Periodic (annual at minimum) corporate training may involve flight travel and hotel stays. Travel arrangements are made and paid for through our travel management system, with reimbursement of incidental expenses.

We are committed to the health and safety of our employees and our customers. We require employees to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and to follow all CDC and CMS guidelines. We provide full PPE for each of our employees who are conducting facility visits. We also provide tools for telehealth for those facilities that need to be serviced remotely.

 Responsibilities:

- Working with long-term care facilities in a designated territory to assist with wound assessments and treatment decisions

- Monitoring proper application and utilization of Wound Care products

- Understanding Medicare documentation and reimbursement guidelines

- Educating facility staff on documentation that meets federal and state requirements

- Ordering Wound Care products through our internal system “FastCare” for the residents to receive their products

- Supporting facilities Wound Care programs by assisting with tracking, documentation, and understanding of the Wound Care products coverage guidelines

 The ideal Wound and Product Specialist:

- Possess a valid Wound Care certification (WOCN, WCC, CWS)

- Possess a valid healthcare license (RN, LPN, PT, OTR-L, DPM or similar)

- Experience in long-term care

- Customer service skills

- Experienced with technology

- Self-starter and work independently

- Lives in the area designated and be willing to travel on a daily basis
