What You'll Do:
- Investigate, evaluate, and process Workers' Compensation Claims with a strong focus on agriculture claims.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills are critical keys to success, along with teamwork, demonstrated leadership skills and problem solving ability.
- Manage 100-120 cases and be responsible for managing multiple priorities.
- Maintain professional and productive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, agents, agency managers, claimants, policyholders, doctors, attorneys, and others.
- Handle claims in Iowa, but at times you may be responsible for working claims in the other states in which we do business (South Dakota, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Minnesota, Kansas, and Nebraska).
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- College degree preferred.
- 3 years of industry experience preferred.
- Ag/Farming experience is preferred.
- Must have or obtain a solid understanding of work comp law/cases in Iowa, and have managed claims in other states.
- Strong negotiation and independent judgement skills are required.
- A high degree of professionalism is required.
- Strong computer skills are required.
- An Associate in Claims (AIC) designation is preferred within your first year of employment.
- Progress towards industry education expected.
- Be able to work from State offices in Iowa or Minnesota office.
