You:

- Follow directions - including those below.

- Will craft websites built in WordPress. You should be self-reliant, able to handle all aspects of production from beginning to end. Client reach ranges from local to national; reputation ranges from niche to well-known in the field.

-You will be responsible for frontend dev, making stuff look and feel nice, and work efficiently and meeting all ADA compliance requirements.

- Use HTML, CSS and at least one super fun language such as PHP or Javascript. Most of our sites are built on WordPress, which leverages both PHP and Javascript, so experience with it will be a major advantage. You should have a preference for creating things which are visually bold and compelling that still loads in a browser in fewer than 3 seconds.

- Stay on top of latest changes in web tech. This means you're probably moving past frameworks like Bootstrap and catching on to CSS Grid and Flexbox.

- Prefer open source to proprietary.

We:

- Are a laid back office in a historical district of the city. We're an ad agency and we wear that title with pride. You'll work on a newer mac with two screens in a Herman Miller chair, with a stocked drink fridge.

- Are self-starters and self-learners. Many people who have worked here had degrees and knowledge outside of their profession.

- Like to work with people we get along with. You'll be talking, collaborating and cohabitating with just about everyone working here on a daily basis. We debate things like movies and the best tacos in the city.

- We have a minimum of three office dogs who like new faces. We hope you like them back. If the dogs don't like you- you won't be working here.

What you need to do to get a response:

- Send over your resume as a PDF. The title should be "[YourName]Resume."

- Give us a portfolio (github, codepen, your site, a list of sites, whatever) showing examples of your work. Even better if you can tell us what you did and what you learned doing it.

-We also need you to be able to do some graphic design- like Adobe CC - so we'd like to see some samples of your work.

Write a cover letter- that makes us want to hire you. If you're smart, you'll go to our site and look around, and maybe even read our company handbook (hint).

- Include your three favorite, local, independent, NON-CHAIN restaurants in the Dayton area. We need to make sure you're from around here and not just wasting our time.-share something that you consider a hobby- or what you do for fun.

We're real people- who play instruments, fix old houses, play sports, grow organic stuff, involve ourselves in local politics. We know whiteboard coding tests suck and try to avoid them, but if you don't have any work to show, we will find out if you know what you're doing one way or another. We'll know if you're bluffing, too.
