Description of Job Duties
To assist the Head Women's Golf Coach in all aspects of the program, while contributing to the goals of North Central College Athletic Department and Women's Golf Program set for the 2018-2019 academic year. The main responsibilities are assisting with recruiting, academics and retention, administrative duties and coaching. This assistantship will complement and enhance the student's formal graduate studies, research interests and career goals by providing him/her with the opportunity to apply the theory to practice, while gaining valuable training and professional experience.
Responsibilities include:
For the MLD student, this assistantship allows the Graduate Assistant to create solutions, discover leadership ideas and skills, and develop the ability to engage and motivate others. The GA will gain experiences in relationship building within different populations including, but not limited to, recruits, student-athletes, alumni, coaches, and other professionals in various departments across campus.
For the MBA student, this assistantship will allow them to experience budget projections, operations, and supervision and leadership of student employees. The GA will gain experience in relationship development within different populations including, but not limited to, recruits, student-athletes, alumni, coaches and other professionals in various departments across campus. The will be educated regarding budget management and financial planning within the sport at the College and within the industry.
The North Central College Women's Golf program is a very competitive program at the conference and regional level. The GA will be mentored by professional coaches with some of the best attributes the sport has to offer.

Job Qualifications
Education/Training: A baccalaureate degree is required. Admission into a graduate degree program at North Central College is required. Graduate programs that best compliment this assistantship is:
Master of Leadership Studies: Sports Leadership, MBA
Valid driver's License required
