Description
The Wine Garden Team Member must be willing to navigate and be cross trained on several aspects of the Wine Garden. Team Members earn $16/hr base, $20-$30 per hour when including tips!
Busser: assist the Wine Garden Educators to create a memorable guest experience & excellent quality of service.
Food Runner: assist the Wine Garden Educators with food delivery to tables.
Host: engaging and courteous candidate who is passionate about food, beverage, and customer service. The Host is the first impression for our guests, setting the mood for our guests' experience.
Event Staff: set-up, execution, and tear down of our events. For non Wine Garden/non tip events, the Event Staff earn $30.00 / hour!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The part-time Busser / Food Runner duties include, but are not limited to, bussing & cleaning tables, polishing & replenishing tableware, polishing & replenishing wine glasses, maintaining a clean work environment which will include the proper disposal of trash and recyclable materials. Must be able to multitask & prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a friendly demeanor & composure. Enforce & support safe work conditions by removing hazards, such as wet floors or debris. Maintain in-depth knowledge about the wines, the vineyards, the brands, and the winery.
The part-time host greets all visitors and extends a warm farewell upon each departure. Introduces guest to Wine Garden layout and options for seating. Ensures guest finds a spot to sit and that the Wine Educator is aware of guest presence. Manages daily reservations & delegates service through use of the Tock reservation system. Sets up water dish and dog treats if the guest is accompanied by a dog. Contact appropriate staff if visitor has an appointment. Knowledge of on-site events in order to direct guests where to be. Assist with answering phones. Assist with side work as needed, such as stuffing envelopes or cleaning work spaces. Responsible for opening and closing host/hostess stand.
The part-time Event Staff main duties include the proper set-up, execution and tear down of the event as specified by your manager and the Banquet Event Order or BEO. The staff is an essential part of the event and are expected to perform his/her duties in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Folktale Winery & Vineyards policies, procedures and standards.

- While this specific role does not require the pouring of alcohol, one must be 21 to legally pour alcohol.

- Excellent customer service.
- Food Handlers Certificate.
