Food Runner/Server

Tomikawa Sushi Bar is coming soon to the Pasadena/Hastings Ranch area and is now hiring some very friendly and helpful food runners or servers to drive the overall guest experience. With its second restaurant in Southern California, Tomikawa Sushi offers a premium, all-you-can-enjoy experience for our guests. Some duties and responsibilities of a food runner or server would include (but are not limited to):

-Properly greet and welcome guests.

-Up-sell popular food and drink options.

-Properly input all headcount into guest tickets.

-Collect payment or run checks to the cashier for processing.

-Take orders according to guest needs and wants.

-Know and understand our menu offering so you can explain what you’re serving to the guest.

-Know and understand the table section layout so you know where to drop off guest-ordered food

-Actively communicate any food allergies and special guest needs to the server and kitchen staff

-Accurately run and deliver food as ordered by the guest

-Accurately run and deliver drinks as ordered by the guests

-Busses own tables to reset for the next party.

-Be a great team member and help co-workers.

- Act with care and professionalism at all times.

-Work with a high sense of urgency.

-Cooperate with co-workers and managers.

-Utilize JOLT Checklist technology to ensure hourly tasks are being completed.

-Report to work on time as scheduled and proactively communicate when you can't.

-Make sure you take all of your mandated meal and rest breaks, on time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.93 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
