General Summary
Colsa is seeking a Systems Analyst to provide support for the DIA/MSIC ITASE program. The selected candidate will assist in development, maintenance, integration, and monitoring of the IT Infrastructure for an advanced simulation environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in coordinating and completing ongoing projects and Service Desk operations
- Perform root cause investigations and provide recommendations for preventative measures
- Support two developmental networks encompassing advanced hardware and software platforms
- Monitor networks to identify trends in performance of physical and virtual assets.
- Conduct research and assist with technical documentation
- Administration of High-Performance Computing clusters.
- Assist with analyzing, defining, designing, and developing new system requirements
- Install user and data center hardware

- Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science/Information Technology related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Help Desk Analyst, Systems Administrator, Network Engineer, Systems Analyst, or related field
- Active DoD Secret Clearance, eligible for Top Secret w/ SCI Access (TS/SCI) and pass Counterintelligence (CI) scope polygraph within 180 days of hire
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain/maintain CompTIA Security+ CE, or equivalent DoD 8570.01 Baseline Certification, within 90 days of hire
- Ability to lift fifty pounds with/without an accommodation
- Experience with productivity applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat)
- Effectively work on own initiative and as part of a team to carry out multiple assignments

- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on customer requirements

- Ability to show mid-level or higher experience, of at least 5 of the following, OR, junior-level experience of at least 8 of the following:
- System Administration experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, or Red Hat 7/8/9
- Scripting for Windows and Red Hat (Bash, PowerShell)
- IT Service Desk Management software (Remedy, Track-It, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Computer hardware, software, or applications troubleshooting
- Workstation and peripheral device installation
- Cable installation, management, and troubleshooting (Fiber Optic or Copper Cabling (Cat5E and Cat6))
- IT operations and network monitoring using a modern SIEM (Splunk, Elastic, SolarWinds, etc.)
- IT asset management
- Configuration Management processes and documentation
- Data Center hardware installation (servers, switches, storage, tape backup libraries, etc.)
- Data Center management (rack diagrams, environment monitoring, power management)
- Data center virtualization (VMware Horizon, VMware vSphere, ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
- Enterprise and data center storage management (DDN, NetApp, Quantum, NAS, SAN, NFS, CIFS, Lustre)
- Network services, infrastructure, and protocols (DNS, DHCP, FTP, NIS, LDAP, TFTP, NTP, SNMP, etc.)
- Vulnerability Management (STIG compliance, Scanning, Patching, Remediation (SCCM, Ansible, Trellix, etc.))
- Containerized workload management (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift)
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance with CI scope polygraph
- Current CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570.01 Baseline Certification satisfying IAT Level II requirements
- 4+ years’ experience as an IT Operations Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
- 4+ years’ experience with Windows and Linux server administration
- Assess risks, make decisions, and continue forward progress in the absence of leadership direction
- Expert in Microsoft Word and Excel, and highly proficient in Microsoft Project and Visio
- Fiber and Copper cable installation, high cable management standards, and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to liaise with supervising staff and program stakeholders for complex issues
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies
- Ability to show mid-level or higher experience in more than 8 of the skill areas listed above.
