The Willow Planner/Scheduler will establish and maintain schedule logic, Risk Management, forecasting, and Earned Value analysis. Located on Alaska's North Slope in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR-A), the Willow project is estimated to produce 180,000 barrels of oil per day at its peak.
During construction, Willow is expected to create around 2,500 jobs, with a majority of labor provided by union workers. The development is estimated to create 300 permanent jobs. The economic impact of the Willow project will be sizable.
According to BLM estimates, Willow could generate between $8 billion and $17 billion in new revenue for the federal government, the state of Alaska, the North Slope Borough and local communities. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility (WCF), three drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges and supporting infrastructure. Scope Summary The Willow project is spread over several phases and areas.
2023 - 2025 - Detailed Design 2023 - 2024 - WOC Fabrication 2025 - 2027 - WOC North Slope Installation and Commissioning 2025 - 2027 - WCF / DS Sealift Module Fabrication 2027 - 2029 - WCF / DS North Slope Installation and Commissioning Willow will be a greenfield design including all processing facilities, utilities, drilling equipment, camp, and power generation. Role Overview: The Willow Planner / Scheduler will report to the Planner / Scheduler Lead and assist in planning and scheduling the Facility Engineering and Procurement, as well as maintaining the Interface / Integrated Schedule. Will establish and maintain schedule logic, Risk Management, forecasting, and Earned Value analysis.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience using Primavera software on large-scale projects. Planner will ensure schedule integrity, manage forecasts, and maintain resource plans in accordance with ConocoPhillips Project Controls Processes and Standards. This position interacts closely with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to, Engineering, Quality Management, Construction Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Contracts Administration, Procurement, Expediting, Logistics, Contractors, and Vendors.
Responsibilities: Attend contractor meetings and participate in discussions regarding project strategies and expectations. Ability to communicate changes to various stakeholders and recommend mitigations as needed. Track and analyze contractor schedules and notify project team of deviations and delays.
Prepare procedures for Project Controls Reporting including Risk Assessment and Earned Value. Program logic to include project benchmarks for the duration of the project. Prepare Earned Value and Project Plan Variance Reports.
Build Recovery and Work-Around plans. Interface with the Contractor's Planning and Scheduling Specialists to ensure data is incorporated into the Integrated Project Schedules. Maintain project documents to support internal audits.
Incorporate approved change orders into schedules. Maintain project documentation and data preservation procedures. Other duties as required.
Basic Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or equivalent. 5+ years of experience working on capital projects in the petroleum industry. Proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Requirements: Advanced knowledge of software used for project management, tracking, controlling, and reporting. Knowledge, Skills and Other Requirements: Listens actively and invites new ideas. Influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results.
