Job Summary
RAI Industrial Fabricators is seeking a full-time Fabricator & Welder to be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal products. Fabrications include stairs, rails, structural parts and other types of metal items.
Essential Functions
- Ability to fabricate conceptually and from drawings
- Cut and shape parts using industry standard equipment
- Layout fabrications
- Tack and/or finish weld
- Schedule time and work with production budgets
- Understand and follow safety regulations and procedures set by the Company and governing safety agencies
Education and Experience
- 3 - 5 years' experience preferred
- Ability to pass an AWS weld test required
- MIG, TIG and Fluxcore experience
- Stainless steel and aluminum experience a plus
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction site
- Prepared to regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and a variety of outside weather conditions
- Able to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and ladders
- Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance and stoop, reach on a regular basis
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
