Welder/Fabricator

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team based in Ridgeland, SC. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for building and assembling metal structures, using power tools and welding techniques both in a shop and on a jobsite. Daily work will primarily be to fabricate and install miscellaneous steel for new structures, structural renovations and metal buildings. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Office / Shop is located in Ridgeland, SC. General work area is within 1 hour radius of Ridgeland, SC and will change depending on project location. Ability to pass a background check to access military base required.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Cut, shape, and bend metal using power tools and machinery
- Weld components together using various techniques (Stick and MIG)
- Size and Quality of welds will be inspected
- Work with a team to install and retrofit steel structures and metal buildings
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the job and shop

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder/Installer
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques
- Skilled in using power tools and machinery
- Ability to operate welding equipment and perform various welding techniques (Stick and MIG)
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes
- Experience using calipers and other measuring tools
- Basic machining skills are a plus

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in welding is preferred but not required, must be able to pass AWS testing
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
- Good communication skills

- minimum 2 years welding experience

- minimum 3-5 years steel fabrication and construction experience

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
