Welder Fabricator

Join our team as a Welder/Fabricator in our Gate Shop and play a key role in fabricating metal parts and assemblies to exact specifications. We're seeking a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering high-quality craftsmanship.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to project specifications, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
• Follow blueprints to accurately execute welding and fabrication tasks, producing strong and clean welds.
• Collaborate with experienced welders to assist in the fabrication of gates and other metal products, including material preparation, assembly, and finishing tasks.
• Safely handle and transport raw materials, tools, and finished products within the shop.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workspace, cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment used in the welding process.
• Take accurate measurements of materials, mark cutting lines, and assist in the cutting process to ensure precision.
• Support the welding team in assembling components, ensuring proper alignment and fit, and assisting in tack welding and other preliminary tasks.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist in quality control processes by inspecting finished products for defects and ensuring they meet required standards.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Complete special projects as needed to support team objectives.

• Prior experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding, TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret welding symbols accurately.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and take direction from experienced welders.
• Commitment to workplace safety, with knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow them diligently.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Work may be conducted in environments with elevated temperatures and welding fumes, with proper ventilation and safety equipment provided.
• Standing for extended periods and maneuvering in tight spaces.
• Frequently lifting and carrying metal materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
• Prolonged periods of standing and bending while working on welding projects, with frequent posture changes to accommodate various welding positions.
• Precise use of hands and fingers for welding, cutting, grinding, and other fabrication tasks.
• Exposure to high levels of noise generated by welding equipment and power tools, with ear protection provided.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively for extended shifts in physically demanding conditions, with stamina to withstand the demands of repetitive tasks and heavy lifting.
