ISC Manufacturing is seeking an EXPERIENCED MIG/TIG FABRICATOR/WELDER
ISC is a local manufacturing company that fabricates complex systems and parts in a wide array of industries such as Agriculture, Mining, Aggregates, Construction, Waste Processing, and Conveying. We are looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder with a minimum of 5 years of experience in MIG/TIG process fit and fabrication to cut and join metals and other materials at facilities.
A Fabricator/Welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of various kinds of metal and their properties is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Ability to set own machinery to accommodate ISC’s welding procedures.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications.
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions per company guidelines and procedures.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and project coordination.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in MIG process, fit and fabrication
- 1+ years’ experience in TIG Process, fit and fabrication.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience with references in similar industries.
- Certifications are a plus but not required.
- Proficient in GMAW (.035 and .045 Hardwire, 1/16” Dual Shield, .035 and.045 316LSI Stainless Steel)
- Proficient in TIG welding Stainless Steel 304 and 316 Grade
- Proficient in reading a tape measure.
- Self-starter and quality-minded
- Experience in layout and fitting, various CNC cuts, and manually formed parts.
- Be able to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines for production needs.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, grinders. etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Must be able to rig/lift heavy, shaped parts safely and effectively with forklifts/overhead cranes.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face shield, gloves, etc.)
- Demonstrates ability to be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy and verbal directions.
- Must have basic fabrication tools (welding hood, pliers, tape measure, combo square, slide square, hammer, etc.)

This position requires squatting/kneeling, bending/stooping, crawling, twisting/turning, grasping, pushing, and reaching overhead and outward frequently. Also requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand or walk up to 10 hours per day.
Hydraulic shear, press brake, and part assembly skills are a plus.
Must be able to work Monday-Thursday 5-3:30. Sometimes Fridays and weekends as needed.
