GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Weld components using manual, semi-automatic, or robotic welding equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- MIG Welding manually with attention to detail,
- Check parts for conformance to specifications using gauges, calipers, micrometer, steel rule, and other precision measuring devices;
- Operates variety of power and non-power hand tools;
- Change over set up;
- Check gas levels. Replenish as necessary;
- Ability to lift, load, unload, and package parts, as required;
- Completion and submission at the end of each shift, of appropriate documentation for quality compliance and production requirements;
- Use of computer for logging in and out of each job using the data workstation.
- Ability to test and inspect weld surfaces
- Consistent use of personal protective equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Pass a pre-placement weld test is required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCES:
High school education; at least six to twelves months related skilled experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Welding certification is preferable.
