3rd Shift 10PM to 6AM TIG Die Welder is responsible for operation, troubleshooting, maintaining and debugging fixturing welding and dimensional problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Read and interpret dimensional drawings and reports.
- Realize dimensional adjustment fixtures and clamps;
- Build new clamps, hard gage, datum pad, mechanical groups and improve existing ones.
- Realize adjustment that sensors in weld fixtures.
- Responsible for installing, servicing machinery and equipment support systems
- Identifying and trouble-shooting production problems
- Maintaining production line and performing predictive and preventive maintenance
- Ability to understand, record, and communicate system problems and solutions
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications of welding fixtures, prototypes or models.
- Compute dimensions and tolerances, and set up machine tools
- Position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to layout for machining.
- Operate a variety of machine tools to cut, turn, mill, plane, bore, grind, otherwise shape work piece to prescribed dimensions and finish.
- Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Fit and assemble parts using hand tools
- Machine, fit, and assemble castings and other parts to make metal patterns, core bores, and match plates.
- Inspect and test completed tools, dies, jigs or fixtures for proper operation.
- Repair of jigs, dies, and fixtures.
- Perform other duties as required from time to time by your Manager/Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills/Knowledge:
- Read and Interpretation Technical drawing.
- Knowledge and interpretation technical standards.
- Read and interpretation Dimensional Reports.
- Knowledge in weld process:
- Strong TIG welder working in Die's
- FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)
- Strong Problem Solving skills.
- Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Perform required Preventive Maintenance check & related data
Experience/Education
5 years experience in manufacturing with mechanical and all welding process experience. Experience to apply Quality Tools for problems solving.
High School Diploma
