A rapidly growing manufacturing plant in Corvallis, OR is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder. In this position, the primary responsibility is the Operation of machinery involved in fabricating various types of machinery and structures. This may include the operation of plate shears, ironworkers, drilling and tapping operations, plate burning equipment, plasma cutting, and handheld oxygen/acetylene torches.
Responsibilities:
-Be proficient in SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes in all positions.
-Be proficient in knowledge and use of fabrication techniques involved in fabricating and manufacturing custom machinery and projects.
-Proficiency in using all fabrication hand tools, including drills, grinders, cutting tools, squares, levels, etc. Understanding, proficiency, and safe use of overhead cranes and rigging techniques.
-Understanding, proficiency, and safe usage of lift trucks Up to 8000lbs.
-Welder/fabricators may be asked to help prepare equipment for painting, assembly for shipping, testing of equipment, installation of equipment at customer sites, and other duties required in daily production activities.
-The ability and desire to direct and teach less experienced Welder Fabricators are preferred.
Additional job skills:
-All tasks must be performed Up to the quality standards of the company.
-Lifting capabilities to 60 lbs
-Will need to climb step ladders to approximately 10’.
-Job will require working on concrete floors for 2.5-hour periods between breaks.
-Overtime and weekend work are required on occasion to complete jobs.
-Possess personal skills to enable a person to work well with other members of the team in completing job duties.

Associate (Preferred)
Experience:
- Welding Fabrication: 3-5+ years
- Proficiency in the reading and understanding of fabrication drawings and CAD drawings.
