Position Summary:
Layout, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble sheet metal fittings, transitions and duct work in a timely manner. Experienced Welder.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences and required methods and materials according to blueprints, drawings and verbal instruction
- Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes
- Manually guide gun along weld line maintaining length of arc and speed of movement
- Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
- Change hoses, fittings, air valves and other parts
- Examine weld for bead size and other specifications
- Inspect assemblies for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments required
- Perform all necessary maintenance and repairs on all equipment used for welding
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Capable of performing a wide variety of welding functions
- Ability to operate various types of welding equipment
- Ability to work well independently or as a team
- Ability to identify and measure material
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- 1+ years previous welding experience
- Previous experience in a fabrication or construction environment is preferred
- Degree or certification from relevant trade school or apprenticeship preferred
- Ability to interpret drawings and blue prints
