Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator/Welder to join the West Gulf team. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for welding and assembling, as well as repairing various shipping container components. This is a full-time position with benefits, including but not limited to paid healthcare coverage.

Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks according to blueprints, drawings, and supervisor direction
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and assemble shipping container components
- Work with various materials including sheet metal and wood
- Conduct MIG welding and other types of welding as required
- Cut, fit, and move heavy materials using appropriate equipment
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Proficient in welding techniques, including MIG welding
- Strong knowledge of fabricating and assembling metal components
- Ability to follow direction and read/interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Experience working with sheet metal
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills

Wood framing, general wood working, and basic electrical circuit installation is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
