PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be able to weld in a production setting, using fixtures or building fixtures.
• Read blueprints and weld per customer specifications.
• Must be able to MIG and TIG Weld Stainless, Aluminum and Mild steel. Thickness range from .020 to .500.
• Grinding and buffing your work is a must.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and weld sitting or standing.
• Produce parts for assembly operations.
• Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
• Perform spot inspections of parts.
• Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
• Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Daily preventive maintenance and cleaning is required.
• Perform additional duties, outside of welding, as required in the fabrication of manufactured parts.
• 40 hrs./wk. (overtime when required).

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

· HS Diploma/GED required.

· 1+ years’ experience with welder equipment in a metal fabrication production environment is required without formal education or certifications.

· Less than 1-year of experience with certifications or degree.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Constant exposure to one or more elements typically found in a manufacturing setting such as noise, dust, heat, fumes, or dirt, which may not be desirable. Exposure to noise requires the use of hearing protection.
