Our current team at VPE Thermal is offering an opportunity for an experienced pipe and pressure vessel welder with a strong background in GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW processes.

Pay Range: $30+ per hr. (depending on experience)

Job Description:

As a welder at VPE Thermal, your primary role will include interpreting engineering blueprints and written instructions and turning them into welded hardware. On any day you may be asked to layout/fit weldments according to specifications, perform GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW processes, perform open root GTAW with purge, understand and weld according to WPS specifications, follow manufacturing routing instructions, weld prep, NDT weldments – including Dye Penetrant and Helium Leak Detection, rig and manipulate parts for position welding, or anything in between.

Required Experience:

•          3 years’ experience or combination of experience and welding degree

•          Understanding of geometry dimensional and tolerances

Desired Experience:

•          Forklift operation.

•          Crane operation.
