Part Time Weekend Caregiver

Location: Wellesley, MA

Start: ASAP

Children: Adult male age 48 with a rare painful neurological disease. He is sweet, kind, and not violent.

Compensation: $35-$50/hour DOE

Schedule: Saturday: 8:00am-5:00pm Sunday: 9:00am-6:00pm Sunday: 6:00pm - 11:00pm Monday: 4:30pm - 11:00pm (4) Weekends off per year

A lovely family in Wellesley is looking for a caregiver for their special needs family member. They're also willing to hire two candidates in order to fulfill their schedule. So if you are able to do half of the schedule please apply!

The family is seeking a compassionate and skilled caregiver to provide support and care for an adult with a neurological disease. The caregiver will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and overall quality of life over the weekend. The ideal candidate would be proactive and willing to take initiative when it comes to his care. It is mandatory that applicants have experience with autism (ideally working with behavior plans) and with ADLs.

Duties includes his laundry, meal prep and tidying of his room and bathroom.

Requirements:

- At least two years professional caregiving experience
- At least four years of experience working with adults with autism
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- Covid vaccination required
- Must have an either a BA/BS
- Can make at least a year commitment
- Must be okay with spouse working from home
- Clean driving and criminal record
- Must be okay with cats

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
