Are you a people pleaser? Do you love to make people happy? This is the career path for you! We start all of our staff members working weddings. This allows you to get a true understanding of what we do as a business. However, you must be able to pass a physical.
The position is to cover every Friday, Saturday and Sunday we have booked. Our calendar is online on our website. We book over 100 weddings a year.
If you would like to become a wedding planner, coordinator or some other profession in the wedding industry, this is where you start. But you must be able to work, not call out sick and walk on average eleven miles a day! Because servicing a wedding is no joke.
We start every morning before 8:30 a.m. and work until midnight on some evenings. There is usually a few hours of downtime in the afternoon. The hours are long, but making over $600 a weekend usually makes up for it.
You will be responsible for cleaning, setting up ceremony, reception and cocktail hour spaces. You will be responsible for guest services, bartending, assistant coordinating and more. There can be no job beneath you, as when you're working the most important day of someone's life, there can be no excuses.
You must be able to work every single Friday, Saturday and Sunday on our calendar. If you cannot, there is no need to reply as we simply cannot use you. You must be able to physically do the job. If you're looking for a job where you are not active, this is not for you. You will work in all weathered conditions. If you're one to make excuses, this job is not for you. One person WILL be promoted to lead coordinator, the pay is higher but so is the responsibility. This is a really fun job for the social person that loves to help others make magic happen.
